Akili Interactive is a biotechnology company known most for the first and only FDA-approved prescription video game to treat ADHD in children 8-12, EndeavorRx, and their over-the-counter digital therapeutic for adults, EndeavorOTC. As the sole brand designer, I worked at the intersection of brand, growth and UX, by maintaining and evolving the Akili brand through sales and marketing assets, social media campaigns, presentations, and email campaigns, website, and all other channels.
After Akili’s IPO in August of 2022, there was a shift in how they wanted to communicate their stories to the public and otherwise. This came through in the form of a complete redesign of the presentaion style that was in use before. Rather than focus on heavy saturation and playful compositions however, this template would communicate the Akili of the future, one that looks just as professional, polished, and tight as the other large organizations in the world today. To achieve this, I utilized the Akili blue only sort of as a guide for viewers, allowing it to highlight and bring attention to the main idea or the most important feature on that slide. Additionally, the solid and dotted line work was used as a motif in a manner that continued to guide the viewers eye. Overall, this was intended to provide a more stripped back and serious look to a component of the Akili brand that had previously erred on the playful side.
